Mental Health & Substance Use Disorder

Priority One
Mental health and physical health are inextricably linked, and research had shown a link between depression and chronic diseases and health conditions, including diabetes and cancer, which are two of the leading causes of death in Cochise County; it isn't surprising that every community identified mental health and/or substance abuse as a priority.
Mental health and substance use disorders are a major contributor to the poor health of Cochise County residents.
